Don’t you just love road trips? I have great memories of those adventures, especially from college and with my buddies. And, of course, venturing out with that special someone is great too.

When I lived in Ft. Lauderdale, I absolutely loved the drive down to Key West. It didn’t matter who was with me, I always knew we were going to have a lot of fun. Even the long family vacation trips when I was a kid, riding in that ugly station wagon (like the Griswolds heading to Wally World) were different and exciting, even if dad was constantly threatening to pull over and whoop our butts.

And we’ll be making more great memories when The CARE Movement hits the road for the ultimate road trip: The CARE-a-van! All we need is YOU, so pack your virtual bags and join me – that’s right, you heard me! What could be better than taking a trip across this beautiful country, sharing and spreading the CARE message with everyone we meet? I’ll be connecting and collaborating with friends and fellow bloggers in every city along the route – and I’d love to come to your town!
This year is going to be a banner year for The CARE Movement. I’m putting real action behind the words we live by: Inspire and Influence Positive Change.
I appreciate all the support I’ve received from you – our community – and I love sharing on Twitter and Facebook…. but it’s time to hit the road and spread the message even farther. We want to recognize and appreciate people who CARE in your community. We’re looking for people who help others and make a difference – whether in their jobs or through other contributions they make. If you know someone who fits that description, please let me know – we’d love to connect with them and make them a part of The CARE-a-van too!
We’ll be speaking wherever we can – community centers, schools, churches, small businesses, corporations – anywhere The CARE Movement message can be shared. How You Can Help
In the next couple weeks, I’ll be sending out letters and emails asking for corporate sponsors (vehicle & hotel). Maybe an SUV with The CARE Movement logo and inspiring quotes painted all over it? A hotel sponsor, so we have a place to stay and/or speak? Maybe even some CARE Movement t-shirts to give out at the get-togethers! I’m also seeking donations to help with travel and marketing expenses.
If you agree that we’re on to something here and want to join the cause, your financial support of our mission would be greatly appreciated. It’s easy to donate through the “ChipIn” widget we’ve added to the blog – over there in the right-hand column. Any amount will help us spread the C.A.R.E. message further!
Tentative plans are to seek sponsors and do fundraising in January and February, and hit the road sometime in late March. I’ll be blogging from the road, hopefully doing interviews and videos at each stop. I’m so excited about the possibilities and the opportunity to interview you and other fabulous, deserving people we meet on the trip!
